• Utility Grade may contain more natural characteristics such as scars, wrinkles, brands, or other cosmetic imperfections, but still provides the same quality vegetable-tanned leather and is a great value for projects where maximum usable yield is less critical. 
• Special Grade typically features more noticeable natural markings or surface imperfections and is ideal for smaller projects, practice work, prototypes, or leatherworkers looking for quality Wickett & Craig leather at a more economical price. Because leather is a natural material, markings and usable area will vary from hide to hide.

Available Thicknesses:

• 2-3oz (0.8-1.2mm): Perfect for wallets, small goods, and decorative applications.
• 3-4oz. (1.2-1.6mm): Wallet Backs, other small goods.
• 4-5oz (1.6-2.0mm): Ideal for bags, belts, and medium-duty projects.
• 6-7oz (2.4-2.8mm): Excellent for traditional harness work, heavy-duty straps, and durable goods.
• 7-8oz. (2.8-3.2mm): Traditional harness work, heavy-duty straps, and durable goods.
